Two people are in Police at Kaberamaido for allegedly participating and inciting a mob to kill a 43- year- old woman of Angudawele- A Village, Kaberamaido Sub County after she was found in a sexual act with a neighbor, John Ademu, 52, by the roadside.
The deceased’s son identified as Joseph Angai, 24, and his neighbor, Christopher Epasu, 27, together with Robert Opige, 25 who is still at large, allegedly beat into comma, Norah Alapo after she was reportedly found engaging in a sexual act with her neighbor, John Ademu, 52, by the roadside.
According to Samuel Olaki the officer in charge of criminal investigations at Kaberamaido Central Police Station, the suspects reportedly found the pair in a situation that embarrassed the family. They incited a mob that beat Alapo and Ademu before they were rushed to Kaberamaido Hospital where the former died on Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 9:00pm on Wednesday. Preliminary investigations indicate that the son has been suspicious of his mother’s relationship with Ademu.
The suspect, Angai said that he was returning home in the evening when he heard noise from the roadside. He says that upon flashing to see where the noise was coming from, he recognized his mother in a sexual act with another man.
He, however, says that he didn’t intend to beat the mother but when the neighbors heard his alarm, they overpowered him and descended on the ‘couple.’
The suspects will be charged with murder.
