The Police in the Kiira region has arrested four people for allegedly killing their brother.

The deceased has been identified as Franco Kiseka a resident of Namalele-Kabaganda village, in Buwenge sub-county, in Jinja district.

The suspects who are currently detained at Buwenge central police station include; Wilson Dyogo, Noah Tibaila, Messach Buziibye, and Henry Wayaaba.

Kiseka went missing on August 15 and his body was later found dumped behind the house with deep cuts on the head, stomach, and back.

He was allegedly killed while going home from the trading center and his body was dumped behind his house.

According to Edward Tebiila the deceased’s son, his father did not have a grudge against anyone at the time of his killing.

He has challenged the police to expedite investigations into the matter.

James Mubi the Kiira Regional Police Spokesperson says that the family has been embroiled in a conflict over land.

Mubi notes that, although Tebiila was still alive, his sons wanted him to equally share his property with them, but Kisseka was against the idea.

Kiseka's actions earned him favor before Tebiila, but his actions angered his brothers, prompting them to peddle endless death threats against him.

Mubi stresses that this growing intrigue among family members over their fight for the land is suspected to have triggered them to kill Kiseka.

Mubi adds that the suspects will face two counts of murder and kidnapping.
