19 Forum for Democratic Change, FDC members who were on Thursday arrested for taking part in Thursday’s defiance demonstration are yet to be produced before court.

These were arrested from Kampala metropolitan and Entebbe areas trying to match to Nakivubo blue Primary school where they wanted to demonstrate the dissatisfaction of the February 18th general election.

Speaking exclusively to this website, Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson said the 19 will be charged with disobeying lawful orders before court.

He says; “The deputy chief justice issued an interim order barring FDC as a party, Dr. Kiiza Besigye as a person, their agents, their officials, their supporters from participating in a demonstration, procession, public meetings, media campaigns, or any other form of activities that can further the campaign of defiance.

“The 19 were arrested trying to demonstrate in violation of the court order, so we are charging them with disobedience of court orders,” Onyango added.
