City lawyer Male Mabirizi doesn’t rest. He finds fault in everyone, including the President of this country, H.E Yoweri Museveni.

After the President posted a picture of himself driving, Mabirizi, has written to the Ministry of Works and Transport asking them to avail him with a copy of President Museveni’s driving permit.

Mabirizi argues that Museveni is too old and as a result, he has lost proper vision.

If it turns out that the President has a valid licence, Mabirizi says, he’ll have committed a crime under section 58 (1) of the Traffic and Road Safety Act, which says that a person disqualified from getting a driving permit and is found with one commits an offense.

And if it turns out that he has no permit, Mabirizi says, the President will have committed an offense contrary to section 35(1) of the Traffic and Road Safety Act which states that a person shall not drive any class of motor vehicle unless he or she has a copy of the valid driving licence in respect of that vehicle punishable by six months imprisonment.

Mabirizi says he expects a response within 21 days or else he will process a separate criminal prosecution against the Ministry of Works Permanent Secretary.
