Gospel artiste Levixone Lala is one of the most successful gospel musicians in Uganda.
Levixone, however, did not dream of becoming a star.
“I always wanted to be a boxer. I envisioned myself becoming a champion in that field,” he said.
Levixone said he was inspired to learn boxing at a young age because he was always bullied by one burly guy.
“My passion grew from there and I thought I would be like Ouma,” he said.
“I gave up on the boxing dream because of people who were misusing it to commit crimes. The image wasn’t good so I quit.”
Levixone grew up in the slums of Kosovo and boxing was one of the favorite sports in the area.
