Musician Moses Ssali, also known as Bebe Cool, is working on an album titled "Break the Chains". He says the album aims to break barriers and elevate Ugandan music to the international level.
However, Bebe Cool is facing backlash from within. Musician Azawi has thrown shade at him, revealing she doesn't know of his song "Motivation," which is part of the album.
In an interview with Kasuku, Azawi explained she has never listened to the song, nor heard it playing anywhere, and therefore didn't feel comfortable commenting on it.
"I have never heard of it. Never heard of 'Motivation'," she claimed.
The song "Motivation" was released in February this year and was highly publicized by the Gagamel boss and his team across different media platforms.
He even held discussions on NBS Radio, Galaxy FM and TV, and NRG Radio to discuss "Motivation" as a topic a day before the song's release.
Azawi also cautioned Bebe Cool against releasing "bubblegum" music, claiming he is past that age. She says the Gagamel boss should be creating more refined music because he has already achieved success.
"He should leave some songs for younger artists. He has already made it in life; why would he go ahead and release bubblegum music?" she explained.
Despite the criticism, Azawi remains grateful to Bebe Cool and says the Gagamel boss supports her wholeheartedly.
"He supports me in so many different ways, and I appreciate that," she explained.
