Musician Jose Chameleone was among the artists announced to perform at the highly publicized coffee marathon, which took place in Ntungamo district in Western Uganda. However, a few days before the marathon, Chameleone confirmed via social media that he would not be performing at the event.
"Jose Chameleone will not attend this marathon as previously announced, but will be in Ntungamo on another date that will be announced in the future. Management," read a statement on his social media.
Kenzo has now revealed the real reason Chameleone dropped out of the marathon: a disagreement over his payment. He explained that the event organizers offered Chameleone a small amount of money, and he chose to decline their offer in favor of other events.
"It's the same reason Chameleone refused to perform. They disagreed over payments; he declined and saw that something was not right," Kenzo explained. The Big Talent boss also revealed he insisted the organizers add Ray G, Truth 256, and other artists to the list of performers.
