For over fifteen years, the industry has been dominated by the "big three" debate. The debate brought together Chameleone, Bobi Wine, and Bebe Cool.
These are the artistes who have wielded the biggest influence among fans, supporters, and lovers of Ugandan music. They are the pillars on which the industry stands today.
However, Chameleone no longer rates Bobi Wine musically and believes there is no longer a "big three" discussion.
Speaking during a performance in Kampala, Chameleone revealed it's him and Bebe Cool who are the only big artists in the industry, and the rest of them are struggling.
"At the moment, there are only two big artistes in the country. It's only me and my brother who performed here earlier, Bebe Cool, whom most of you call Big Size. We are the only two biggest musicians," Chameleone spoke as he entertained the audience.
His statement has raised dust among the fans of other artistes, and many claim that, just like Bobi Wine, the two have also lost influence musically and should consider investing in younger artistes.
They believe they have been surpassed by musician Eddy Kenzo, who remains the only BET winner in the country and a Grammy nominee.
