The music industry has long been associated with stories of drug use and addiction among artists. It has already lost talents like Rocky Giant and Producer Didi to drugs, and the problem continues to grow daily despite efforts to combat it.

Fik Fameica, a popular artist in the industry, says he does not use drugs and is afraid of them. The singer explained that he is a lover of music who goes to the studio without any external influence.

"I actually fear drugs and don't use any of them. I only enjoy my water and soft drinks, but nothing more. The only thing I'm addicted to is music," he explained in an interview with a local television station.

The rapper also warned fellow artists who use drugs to quit and focus on music because nothing good comes from drug use.

"You should just focus on music and nothing more; you can't get anything good out of drugs. They are just dangerous for your health," he explained.

Fameica's comments come at a time when the UNMF (Uganda National Musicians Federation) continues to implement measures to combat drug abuse and addiction. They have started a rehabilitation program that is helping artists who are struggling with drug abuse and addiction. Fille, Geosteady, and Grenade are among those who have already benefited from the program.
