While appearing on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya, Rukh Shana urged men to be intentional when choosing a life partner, emphasizing that every man should first have a clear vision for his home—one that guides his choice of a future wife.

She noted that although relationship dynamics have evolved, men still take the lead in pursuing women and should approach this responsibility with clarity and purpose.

According to her, a man’s full potential can only be realised with the right partner by his side—one of the reasons, she said, that God designed marriage.

Rukh Shana also cautioned men against being blinded by beauty, stressing that character, responsibility, and calculative thinking are far more important in building lasting homes.

“Many times we fault women,” she said, “but in actual sense, it’s because the woman you picked wasn’t the right fit. Men shouldn’t be choosing beauty over responsible and calculative women.”
