Musician Edirisa Musuza, currently a presidential advisor and one of Africa's most celebrated artists, has a rich history with the Ghettos.
He lived in the Ghettos before achieving success and continues to engage with the Ghetto youths.
With the increasing number of gangs in politics and music, Eddy Kenzo believes that the ghetto youths involved will be the most affected.
He explained that the youths will end up in jail for many years while their bosses move freely across the country. He believes they are being used for selfish reasons and should stay away from such groups.
"I want to advise the young people involved in gangs. I have been in the ghettos and on the streets. I advise you to quit gangs, or else you will die in jail. You are just being used by the 'bigger ones' because they are the ones benefiting. You will cause trauma and suffering to yourself and your loved ones for other people's benefit," he explained during an interview with a local television station.
Eddy Kenzo believes that associating with gangs is unnecessary, which is why he has stayed away from them for years.
He also advised people who are interested in moving with groups to reach out to security organizations for training to maintain peace on the streets and in society.
"Gangs affect people's businesses and cause suffering. I think you should always take your teams for training so they can gain some knowledge in maintaining peace and order, and also to keep other people safe even when they are guarding you," he explained.
