Musician Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, is lucky to be alive after he was attacked by a group of rowdy youths during his visit to Jinja City on Thursday.

The Sitya Danger hitmaker had travelled to the eastern city to perform at an NRM rally, but things quickly turned chaotic shortly after his performance.

Eyewitnesses say a section of youths turned violent, forcing police and event organizers to intervene to rescue the singer. Alien Skin was quickly whisked away to safety by his team and security personnel.

Unconfirmed reports suggest the incident may have been fueled by political tensions, as the artist has in the past clashed with supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and its leader Bobi Wine, who commands a strong following in the area.

This is not the first time Alien Skin has faced hostility in the eastern region — earlier this year, he was reportedly attacked in Iganga after another performance.

Despite the latest scare, the Fangone Forest boss has yet to issue a public statement on the incident.
