Fast-rising musician Jowy Landa has boldly declared that she is not in competition with any Ugandan artistes, saying her ambitions are far beyond the local music scene.
Speaking during an interview with a local television station, Jowy revealed that her focus is on global recognition and not competing for space within the Ugandan industry.
According to the singer, her goal is to win major international accolades such as the Grammy Awards, and she sees herself competing against established global stars.
“I am currently focusing on Grammys and international artistes, not our local stars. I am competing against musicians like Ayra Starr, Tems, Rihanna among others, so no one should be scared of me in Uganda.” Jowy Landa stated.
She emphasized that Ugandan artistes should not feel threatened, since her vision is to elevate her craft beyond regional boundaries.
Jowy Landa has been on a notable rise in the industry, especially after signing with TCM Management earlier this year, a move that has strengthened her brand and musical presence.
