Controversial singer Gloria Bugie has dismissed the belief that her body qualifies as the Temple of God, unapologetically describing it as a “wild sinner.”

Speaking in an interview with interview, Bugie said while her heart may qualify as a temple, her body certainly does not.

“I think my heart is the temple. My body? Huh! It is wild. It is a sinner,” she said.

Known for her provocative performances, Bugie has often attracted criticism from fellow musicians and sections of the public who accuse her of prioritising controversy over talent. However, she insists her approach is working in her favour.

When asked whether her body has opened doors that her talent could not, Bugie was blunt.

“Brand influencing and endorsements, like clothing brands. Because I am naturally a good-looking goddess. God has blessed me with everything, and I am grateful,” she stated.

Bugie further made it clear that she has no intention of clarifying controversies surrounding her personal life or public image.

“I do not mind people having controversies about me. I do not clear up anything. Whatever you heard is true—move on with that,” she said.
“I will never come out to clear anything unless it is a court matter. That is the only time I will defend myself. Sorry, not sorry.”

Despite the backlash, Bugie remains defiant, embracing controversy as part of her brand while continuing to position herself as one of the most talked-about figures in Uganda’s music industry.
