Dancehall artist Kapeke has boldly declared himself the biggest musician in Uganda at the moment.
Speaking in a recent interview, Kapeke said his music dominates across different towns in the country, giving him confidence in his current position in the industry.
“Musicians are releasing music, but it’s not going anywhere. Wherever I go, I mostly hear my music. Right now, I believe I am the biggest,” he said.
Despite the bold claim, Kapeke acknowledged that a few other artistes are also making an impact in the industry.
He specifically mentioned Fik Fameica, Vyroota, and Mimi Kampala as musicians who are performing well and putting up strong competition.
Kapeke’s remarks have since sparked debate among fans about who truly holds the top spot in Uganda’s music scene.
