Media personality and nightlife host Sheilah Gashumba has revealed that she does not smoke or use drugs despite her close association with Uganda's nightlife scene.
Speaking during an interview with a local YouTuber, Gashumba said she has never been interested in smoking or using intoxicating substances, adding that she particularly dislikes shisha.
She explained that her concerns about shisha are partly influenced by the hygiene of some of the people who serve it at entertainment venues.
"The people serving are usually very dirty and wear black yet the heat is coming in the T-shirts and they don't wash them. They smell so bad," she said.
Gashumba also noted that shisha servers often move from one customer to another while carrying the same pots, something that further puts her off the practice.
Despite frequently working in nightlife environments where smoking, shisha and other indulgences are common, Gashumba said she has chosen to stay away from them.
