Abdul Ssekajja Qadir has finally addressed the long-running claims that he “stole” singer Chosen Becky from her former partner, Dictator Amir, insisting their relationship only began after both were single.
Ssekajja found himself at the centre of controversy after going public with Chosen Becky, with critics questioning how he had moved from being Amir's close friend and personal driver to becoming the singer's lover.
The situation attracted even more attention because of Ssekajja's previous role as Chosen Becky's driver and social media manager.
“We Were Both Single”
Ssekajja has rejected the accusations, insisting that neither he nor Chosen Becky was taken from another relationship.
According to him, their romance started only after both had ended their previous relationships and were free to make their own choices.
“People know the truth but choose to remain silent,” Ssekajja reportedly said.
He maintained that their relationship was a mutual decision between two consenting adults and that there was no betrayal involved.
From Driver to Husband
The relationship quickly became serious, with Ssekajja proposing to Chosen Becky in August 2025.
The singer had ended her long-term relationship with Dictator Amir earlier that year before moving on with Ssekajja.
Despite the controversy surrounding their romance, Chosen Becky and Ssekajja eventually chose to build a life together, putting the accusations and public scrutiny behind them.
