Media personality Joan Mulungi has turned to lawyers in a major legal showdown with social media personalities Nalongo Kitone Nampijja and Harriet Asiimwe, alias Paco, demanding a combined Shs400 million over alleged defamation.

Through Volens Advocates, Mulungi issued a demand notice dated August 17, 2026, giving the two women seven days to publicly apologise, retract the disputed statements and remove the publications or face civil proceedings.

“We act for and on behalf of Ms. Mulungi Joan,” the lawyers wrote.

According to the lawyers, Mulungi is accusing the pair of making or endorsing what she considers false and malicious claims through the Nalongo Kitone and M&S Media 3 TikTok accounts, as well as other platforms.

Shs200 Million Each

Mulungi is demanding Shs200 million from each woman, bringing the total damages sought to Shs400 million, in addition to legal costs.

Among the statements she wants withdrawn are allegations that she is a prostitute, undisciplined, faked pregnancies, interfered in other people's marriages and cohabited with another man during her marriage.

The lawyers' notice disputes the claims and warns that their continued publication could lead to legal action.

Seven-Day Ultimatum

Apart from the financial demand, Mulungi wants both women to issue written apologies and provide undertakings that they will not repeat or republish the allegations in future.

The demand notice gives Nalongo Kitone and Paco seven days to comply.

Failure to do so, according to Mulungi's lawyers, will trigger formal civil proceedings against the two social media personalities.
