Musician Lydia Jazmine has showered fellow artiste Geosteady with praise, crediting him as the first musician to genuinely believe in her when she was still finding her footing in Uganda's music industry.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Jazmine revealed that Geosteady embraced her early in her career and gave her an opportunity to collaborate on a song that would later become a major turning point in her journey.
“Geosteady believed in me before anyone else. He embraced me when I was just starting and gave me a collaboration. ‘Same Way’ became my biggest breakthrough and I will always be grateful,” she said.
‘Same Way’ Changed Everything
Jazmine described the collaboration as a defining moment in her career, saying the opportunity helped introduce her to a wider audience and gave her the momentum she needed at the time.
Her tribute highlights the important role Geosteady played during her early years in music, when she was yet to establish herself as one of Uganda's leading female artistes.
