Musician Dax Vibez, the younger brother of National Unity Platform (NUP) president Bobi Wine, says the opposition leader misses Uganda despite continuing to stay in the United States.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Dax said he recently spoke to his brother and that Bobi Wine is doing well while abroad.
According to Dax, Bobi Wine misses Uganda because he has several investments and other interests in the country.
“Bobi Wine is doing well, he is very fine and I spoke to him two days ago. He misses Uganda very much because he has a lot back home here in the country. He has a lot of investments back here,” Dax said.
Bobi Wine left Uganda in March 2026 after spending weeks in hiding following the January presidential election. He subsequently travelled to the United States for international engagements and has continued his political activities from there.
In an August interview with Le Monde, Bobi Wine said he had fled to the US because he feared for his safety and described himself as being in exile.
Dax, however, says his brother remains connected to Uganda despite his continued stay abroad.
