Musician Dax Vibez has reflected on his rise in the music industry, revealing that he was initially underrated by critics who doubted his ability to succeed as an artiste.

Dax Vibes gained major attention after collaborating with Vinka on the song “Believe”, a project that helped push his career to another level.

Since then, the singer has continued to build momentum and has become one of the artistes enjoying significant demand for performances in Uganda.

Speaking about his breakthrough, Dax said some people initially believed his music career was only gaining attention because of his family connections to established musicians such as Bobi Wine and Eddy Yaawe.

“I was underrated before enjoying the breakthrough. People didn’t believe I could do music. Many thought I was coming up because of my brothers’ success in music. It can never be the same now,” he said.

Dax says his progress has since allowed him to prove that he can stand on his own as a musician, regardless of his family background.
