Musician Mike Wine has explained why he missed Young Mulo’s recent concert, saying he was occupied with other performances outside Kampala and could not return in time for the event.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Mike Wine said he had bookings in Mityana and other areas, making it difficult for him to attend the show organised by his longtime friend and fellow National Unity Platform (NUP) member.
“I was too busy to attend. I was very far away from town to attend his event. I was in Mityana and other areas, so I couldn’t manage to make it in time. However, I wished him well and good luck on the day,” Mike Wine said.
Young Mulo held the concert earlier this month at Fusion Spa in Munyonyo. However, the event reportedly attracted questions after several musicians did not attend.
The turnout among revellers also drew attention, with reports suggesting that attendance was lower than expected.
Mike Wine’s explanation comes amid discussion about the support Young Mulo received from fellow artistes during the concert.
