About Aquaman Uganda

Aquaman Uganda, born Walusimbi John on 19 June 2005, is a young and ambitious Ugandan artist whose musical journey is rooted in Ddamba, Koome Island.

He completed his primary education at Ddamba Parents Primary School, where he obtained 10 aggregates, before continuing to St. John’s High School Kauga Mukono for O-Level and St. John’s SS Mukono Namuyenje for A-Level. He later pursued a Certificate in Hair Dressing and Cosmetology at Excel Vocational Training Center Bombo Kalule, Luweero.

Aquaman began writing songs after his Senior Four examination vacation. His passion for music grew through inspiration from Kemigisha Cathy, and later, Fik Fameica’s “Byenyenya” motivated him to seriously pursue a career in music.

His music combines Luganda Afro-Rap, Dance Rap, Hip-Hop and African sounds, with a focus on energetic, relatable and culturally connected music. His works include AKALULU, BAGAGA MWE, AGUNDE GUNDE, and TULI KU WAVE project.

Today, Aquaman Uganda continues to develop his sound and identity as an independent Ugandan artist, with the goal of reaching audiences in Uganda and beyond.
