Male James was born on 1st June, 1994. In Wobulenzi, Luwero district in the central region of Uganda. His parents broke up before he was 3 years and therefore grow up with a single mother in Kawempe - Kampala.

He went to Hillside College Mityana(HILCOM) for secondary education, and later joined Kyambogo University where he trained as a teacher.

He has been an actor and a musician as well, since childhood. In 2008, he acted in a play entitled ''The bank manager'' which was geared towards encouraging people to keep their money with banks, rather than any other primitive way. In 2014 I featured in a song entitled ''Mwebale kugunjula'' when Busuubizi PTC was celebrating 75 years of existence.

He entered the music industry in 2017 with the first band songs ''SENTE'' and ''ABALUNGI MWAVA WA''. So far, James Male sings alone, does band, afro beat and afro pop, genres of music.
