My name is Okello Deo Dreky, known to my fans and the music world as King D Sad (or simply King D). I am a
proud Ugandan recording artist, songwriter, and multi-talented professional. My journey has taken me from the
heart of Northern Uganda, through a powerful creative evolution in East African music, alongside a dedicated,
parallel career in industrial logistics, lifting safety, and operational leadership.
My Musical Journey: From South Sudan to the Airwaves
While I have always worked hard to build a stable life and excel in my professional career, my heart and true
calling have always been in the studio.
2013–2014: The Spark. My venture into the music industry truly began when I traveled to South Sudan. This
experience opened my eyes to the power of musical expression, and I began focusing heavily on songwriting, vocal
delivery, and learning the structures of the East African music landscape.
2018: The Debut. After years of refining my sound and penning lyrics, I officially released my very first
single, "DAKO." This record marked my initial entry as a recording artist and was warmly received.
2018–2025: The Grind & "Pending" Records. Balancing a demanding career in heavy logistics and site
safety meant recording whenever and wherever I could. Alongside my debut, I have written and recorded four other
songs that are currently under final studio review as I prepare my next steps in the industry.
2026: The Viral Breakthrough. On June 19, 2026, everything changed when I released "Madam
Nyash." The song went completely viral on TikTok and social media platforms, rapidly transforming into one of
the biggest trending tracks across Uganda. Following this massive national response, I officially sat down to
document this biography on July 10, 2026, prepared to scale my artistry to the international level.
My Artistry & Vision
I am highly fluent in English, Luganda, and Kiswahili, which allows me to craft songs that speak across tribal and
national boundaries. My music seamlessly blends the high-energy pulse of modern Afro-Pop and Dancehall with
real-life storytelling. From a young boy in Dokolo to an elite industrial logistics supervisor and trending artist in
Kampala, I am living proof that with discipline, patience, and relentless grind, any dream is possible.
