Born Nyanzi Matthew David, Matt Travers is part of the new wave of artists ringing in the ears of the corridors of music listeners in Kampala. A while back, he featured twice on C.Kayo's debut project Paper Planes that secured his clout in the underground and marked the beginning of his professional career. With various performances at school and public events, a particular phrase ("WHO GOT THE JUICE?!") had caught on with the audiences and is still well associated to the Ugandan-born artist, who also goes by the alias Lord Thiko. The artist is coming off an impressive MTN Pulse Cypher performance which concluded with him in the top 5 and a collaboration with Swangz Avenue producer and entrepreneur Benon Mugumbya.
