MJ Ranks is a R&B/Soul artist he was born in 1998 in Masaka district.He was brought up by his single mother Nantale Robinah after the death of his father in 2005.He went to Sembabule RC P/S, Mbuye Farm secondary school being supported by his sisters.After he joined Blessed Sacrament Kimaanya for A'level, unfortunately he only finished his first year due to fees problem.He was a stage star at all levels but he decided to concentrate on music of which he loved so much as a song writer and a musician.He admired Mowzey Radio all of the time.He recorded his first song known as "Taken" by Prof. Eli Beats which inspired him to pursue his dreams.
