Mayega Godfry A.K.A Number One is an RnB/Afro zouk/Reggae and dancehall artist born and raised in kampala,The 18 year old singer started his music career in church playing live instruments and as a lead singer in his sunday school class, The young mayega how ever started writing music for his older friends that were already recording music and were much more serious with recording and performing by the age of 15.

    Because of his talent this got the attention of local producer ronnie on this one who could later record his first song called kankunyige that did not have a lot of commercial success ,how ever this did not stop the 17 year old by then to  record his next single called ba dj still by the same producer 'ronnie' who by then was working  at gagamel studio with bebecool.by 18 he already had over 5 singles that did not receive much commercial success but had built a platform
