Page Shutter whose real name is Musana Richard was born in 1985 to parents Mr. Musana Paul and
Mrs. Musana Solome in Jinja district. The father is a Musoga and the Mum is a Muganda. He attended
primary school at Nuvila primary school in Jinja and for secondary went to Kiira College Butiki and after
went to Makerere University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Fine Arts. He
was a member of a boy band called Eastworld which included Mr. Mutyabulle James, Mr. Munabi
Muhammed and himself, while at university, but after an amicable understanding between the
members of the band, it was resolved that beside the band projects, each member was free to make a
solo project and thus Page Shutter emerged. He has since then worked on a mix tape that has included a
number of trucks like; JItuleko, Fragile, Different, Pretty girl, Olina, Your choice among others, were he
collaborated with artists like Hyper Man, Katex. He is currently working on an album called “Ice and Fire”
which include such trucks like; Nurse Wange, Ice and Fire plus other trucks still in production. Among
the artists that have inspired him from Uganda include; Menton Kronno, Dr. Jose Chameleone, Bebe
Cool, Bobi Wine, Moses Matovu, Mesach Semakula and those from outside include Bob Marley, Lucky
Dube, Michael Jackson, Busy Signal, Tupac Shaku, P Square, Jiddena and Akon. He is currently working
under the label called Music Paradise.
