Samuel Kyobe is a passionate Ugandan musician, songwriter, and pianist known by the stage name Piano Paburo. Born on October 27, 2003, at Nakaseke Hospital in Kiibowa Village, Nakaseke District, Samuel’s early life was rooted in humble beginnings, molded by resilience, faith, and a deep love for music.

Raised by his mother, Nabukenya Rose, and father, Livingston Mugalu, Samuel began his education at Lukyaamu Primary School (2006–2009) before continuing briefly at Hope Infant School in 2013 while living in Kasangobe under the care of a children’s family home. His formal education ended in Primary Seven, but his journey of self-discovery and creativity had only just begun.

In 2015, Samuel moved to Kampala in search of a better life. He started out in Owino Market offering fast foods and eventually built a small business selling chapati. Despite the challenges of urban hustle, Samuel’s passion for music remained unshaken. It was during this time that he began to write music, channeling his experiences, emotions, and spirituality into lyrics and melodies that speak to the soul.

Now performing as Piano Paburo, Samuel has emerged as a unique voice in Uganda’s music scene, combining heartfelt storytelling with raw musical talent. A proud Protestant and devoted father to his son, Nsubuga Elisa, Samuel continues to inspire others with his journey of transformation, using music not only as a profession but as a powerful tool for healing, hope, and connection.
