Samuel Namara (born 12 June 2008), commonly known as samo k, is a Ugandan singer and songwriter aged 18 yrs.He mainly sings ugndan contemporary zouk music in Runyankore. He started singing in 2022 while at school until 2024 when he broke through with his hit song Njagala gwe recorded at Divine International Records.
Samo has shared big stages with international artists like Eddy Kenzo,
Meddy and Ray G ,on the Johnnie Walker Highball tour in Mbarara.
He is among Allan Toniks, Sister Charity, Juliana Kanyomozi who comes from Western Uganda.
He has also collaborated with Western heavy weights like Rykemenzo, Truth 256 and Ray G.
He attended Divine International school Bitereko,for his primary and St Benedict for where he is currently in S3 pursuing his Uganda Certificate of Education and may be latter his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education.
In 2024 during the primary seven vaccination, he broke through to East African recognition after collaborating with Rykemenzo on kizibu gyebali Song.
At his celebration which was for the best artist in zouk at the Divine international music Awards he broke a record of staging a highly attended concert in Western Uganda after it was successfully held on
25th December 2024 in Bitereko Town .
This pulled a lot of popular companies like, 94.0Tayari FM, Divine InternationalTv Bitereko , 87.8 Voice of Ruhinda Fm and Tayari West Television.
In 2025, Samo K won another award of the best years act from Western Uganda, an award by Divine International Awards, an award aimed at awarding Ugandan western musicians in the creative art industry.
He is also amember of the Born Again Faith.
