Smokie Omutapata is a God fearing person from Kampala Uganda the Pearl of Africa.

He grew up as a street kid since he had started to understand on 6 years of age, without knowing his Father and his Mother Smokie started a day where he celebrates his birthday on 11/11/1988 though he doesn't know his real date of birth!

Smokie sleeps an a dead coffin as amean of embracing death and to inform his family members that death is normal and can happen at any time.

Smokie is the Ugandan singer/Artist who decided to take way of branding his image of coming on stage in a dead body coffin/ casket.

Smokie started his own family callde Batapata for as example Baganda started by Kintu

Batapata means God's experiment (Katonda kyagezesezako).

Smokie grew up on street with his friend called Mubiru,but when his friend Mubiru died, Smokie named himself Mubiru, therefore that's where the name Mubiru started from in his life!
