Winnie Monie was born and raised in Biharwe, Mbarara Western Uganda.She joined music at an early age as a cultural dancer from a group ran by her family.She later on discovered her potential to sing and used to work as a back up artist fromwhere she got an idea to hit studio to record her first single "Single" by drizzy beats at Sound Africa
