Last week, musician Bebe Cool released his "Break the Chains" album after almost three years of working on the project.

The album is a collection of songs that not only inspire dancing but also offer hope and inspiration to the disillusioned, who form the largest segment of the youth population.

Bebe Cool revealed his plans to receive $4 million annually from the government to invest in various artists in a bid to promote Ugandan coffee nationally and globally.

The party, which took place at Noni Vie in Kampala, brought together different artists, media, and other stakeholders.

Bebe Cool explained that streaming companies will pay artists a much-valued sum if Ugandans actively stream their music on different platforms.

In an interview with local media, Bebe Cool explained he is going to reach out to President Museveni for $4 million annually for the promotion of coffee through music.

The whopping sum raised controversy among local artists, and many critics were quick to call out the government over wasteful expenditure.

Speaking about the album, the Gagamel boss explained he has so far spent over Uganda shillings two billion, five hundred sixty million on the production of the album.

Kenzo dismissed Bebe Cool's remarks as irrelevant and advised upcoming artistes to remain focused and steadfast.

In an interview with Kasuku, Azawi explained she has never listened to the song, nor heard it playing anywhere, and therefore didn't feel comfortable commenting on it.
