Uganda’s local artist Kazibwe Daniel alias Ragga Dee of the ‘Letter O’ fame, has conceded defeat in mayoral race.
Ragga Dee lost the Kampala mayoral seat to incumbent Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago in the country-wide mayoral and councilors elections which were conducted yesterday, Wednesday.
“We respect the results, it is part of democracy,” Mr Kazibwe said on Wednesday evening as he conceded defeat.
The singer was contesting for the Kampala mayoral position on the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket, scored 49,366 votes while, Erias Lukwago retained his seat with 176,637 votes.
