Song Bird Winnie Nwagi has opened up about her trials of motherhood and the absentee father of her 4-year-old girl, Destiny.
During today morning’s NTV ‘s ‘Mwasuze Mutya’ show, The Musawo singer divulged she was crazy in love with Destiny’s father, who got her pregnant in her Form 6 vacation and later headed for the hills after winnie refused to abort the baby.
She Wrote;
“When I noticed I was pregnant, I was shocked and talked to my friends about it who gave me different bits of advice including aborting. I couldn’t hold it and I told my boyfriend about it and he wasn’t happy at all, he also told me to abort But I refused and I told him if he wasn’t ready to be a father, to leave me alone,” Nwagi said
The Thick singer lamented that she went through a tough time during her pregnancy bouncing from one job to another—She said;
“He then disappeared and I was alone through my pregnancy, I started hustling doing all kind of jobs and after when I gave birth, he then came back pleading me to get back to him a thing that I denied and I told him we should only focus on raising our child,” she added.
Winnie Nwagi has been a single mother ever since she gave birth to her daughter.
