Hon. Prof. Ogenga Latigo, the Agago North County Member of Parliament has today received a whooping 6,000,000 shillings from Billion Lotto.
Latigo, the latest winner in the game received his money this afternoon at UAP building in Nakawa. The Billion Lotto Managing Director Massimiliano Monte handed over the money to the old legislator.
According to Mr. Monte, Hon. Prof. Latigo is the third secondary jackpot winner with the major jackpot being 1 Billion shillings. But besides the jackpot, Billion Lotto has so far registered over 2700 winners from the 85 draws that have been paying a total amount of about 77M shillings in prizes.
Addressing the press at the handover function Prof. Latigo said he would use the money to facilitate his rice project. Latigo says; “I matched five numbers to win the secondary jackpot falling one number short of the major jackpot. I was euphoric when I was called that I had won. I was only playing for fun though I knew there was a possibility of winning something.”
The professor says he was looking for money to buy fertilizers for the rice project.
Mr. Monte congratulated the professor for being today’s winner.
He also clarified that Billion Lotto guarantees its agents with special bonuses if they sell the jackpot winning tickets.
