Anne Kansiime has emerged as one of the finest comedians Africa has seen in recent history
The latest is that the Ugandan-born humorist will attend the African Social Awards Malaysia (ASAM) 2013 this Friday November 29 in Malaysia where she will be honoured.
ASAM is a uniquely entertainment award organization of the African community in Malaysia that recognizes and appreciates all African talent in Malaysia and around the globe.
Kansiime’s manager, Johnson Mujungu confirmed the development on Monday, saying she will be recognized as the Best East African Comedian of the year.
“I will be breaking my village record,” Kansiime humorously commented.
Kansiime is the first Ugandan comedian to have attracted such substantial attention on the international stage.
