Sheilah Gashumba tweeted accusing NTV management of exploitation and low payment. This sparked off a debate on how TV industry is not doing enough for its workers.

Sheilah Gashumba confirmed that she was paid only Shs. 50,000 per show on NTV The Beat and Shs. 100,000 on Style Project.

During an interview, seasoned Radio and TV presenter JK Kazoora said Sheilah was paid enough compared to how long she was on air daily. 

“Getting paid 100K or 50K for less than two hours on TV is enough," JK Kazoora said.

It should be noted that JK Kazoora was under fire at Urban TV for failing to pay employees.

He was also accused by Tulambule Social Media Influencers for failing to  them Shs 600,000 each after fours on trail in Eastern Uganda with Anita Fabiola.

Tulambule, is a campaign that was geared towards promoting domestic tourism was organized by Kazoora and Uganda Tourism Board (UTB).
