Arts teachers recently went on a sit-down strike after the government announced it was increasing the salaries of only science teachers.
Science teachers with a bachelor's degree will be earning UGX 4 m while art teachers with the same qualification will get Shs 800,000.
According to Bobi Wine, the government is trying to suffocate the arts to avoid more people like him cropping up.
“I am an art product. What did President Museveni study? Sciences? What about his wife? What did she study? They are banning arts because arts create people like me,” says Bobi Wine.
Bobi Wine graduated with a diploma in music dance and drama from Makerere University.
