A week after the tragic incident where the stage collapsed at the cricket oval, singer Chameleone finally broke his silence about the ordeal.
Chameleone, who was set to perform on the stage that night, was left in shock and disbelief upon hearing the news. He recounted the moment when one of his boys informed him of the incident while he was in his hotel room.
“At first, I thought it was a joke, but when I checked social media, there was nothing about it. A few minutes later, news started to spread and I was devastated. I looked at myself in the mirror, and tears started rolling down my eyes,” he shared during an interview with Dembe FM’s Talk and Talk show.
Despite the heartache and devastation he felt, Chameleone found solace in the support of his fellow artists, including Bebe Cool, Messach Ssemakula, and his brothers. They reached out to comfort him, and he finally decided to go to the venue to see the damage for himself.
Although the incident was a significant setback for him, Chameleone remains committed to delivering a memorable performance on the rescheduled date, determined to bring joy and positivity to his fans amidst the tragedy.
