Former Mpaka Records musician Drecali left Uganda for green pastures in Canada in 2022.

His boss at the time, Ykee Benda disclosed Drecali had left him with losses after investing millions of money into his career.

Drecali however stressed in a new interview that both made losses because he never earned from his songs.

The "Singa Omanyi" hitmaker explained he penned down all his songs and the label denied him copyright and was never paid for the work.

"We still have a few issues we need to sort out because we both incurred losses. I did write the songs myself but I hear they claim to be the owners of the copyright. With time, I will clean up all the lies," he said in an interview with a Canadian-based Ugandan YouTuber.

It is alleged the singer is still struggling financially in Canada.
