Musician Pius Mayanja, also known as Pallaso, has revealed that his parents wanted him to become a doctor.
He recalls that his father consistently encouraged him to study extensively, with the hope that one day he would graduate as a medical doctor. However, this dream did not materialize.
The singer now reflects on how he uses music to provide solace and healing to Ugandans who are facing various hardships, dealing with trauma, and coping with stress.
"My parents' dream was for me to become a doctor, but I didn't achieve that. Nevertheless, I find myself offering a form of healing through my music, bringing hope to people facing various challenges," he shared.
Pallaso is the youngest of the three Mayanja siblings actively pursuing careers in music. He takes pride in his successful show at Lugogo Cricket Oval in June of this year.
