There has been a growing feud between Eddy Kenzo, the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, and singer-turned-politician Bobi Wine.
The two have engaged in a public spat, airing grievances related to matters concerning artists. Bobi Wine alleges that Kenzo is using musicians to swindle the government out of billions of money.
"Artists, open your minds. You’re better than the handouts the government gives you. I recently heard that they want to give you over Shs30 billion. What can that money do for you?" Bobi Wine remarked months ago.
In response, during a press meeting on Tuesday, Bobi Wine reiterated his claims that the UMNF led by Kenzo received another 18 billion from the supplementary budget in parliament.

However, Eddy Kenzo, the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), dismissed Bobi Wine's allegations, labeling him "not knowledgeable."
"Bobi Wine needs to get a new research team that won't give him wrong information regarding national issues. I would expect him to be knowledgeable on such matters like the supplementary budget because he has NUP MPs in that parliament. He should know how much was passed in the supplementary budget and to which sectors. However, he is not knowledgeable on these things. He keeps saying wrong things. Unless he knows things that we don't know," Kenzo said in an interview.
