Singer Ray G from Western Uganda recently opened up about why he doesn't wear a wedding ring, even though he and his wife Annabelle got married in 2021. Apparently, he's not a big fan of the whole ring thing.
On a recent interview, Ray G explained that he sees wedding rings as a bit of a foreign tradition. He said, "Hey, I'm an African man, rings are a white thing." He also said he doesn't wear jewelry to impress people. What really matters to him is his commitment to his wife, not a piece of metal.
Ray G even said he wouldn't mind if his wife didn't wear a ring either. As far as he's concerned, their marriage is going strong regardless of the rings.
