Band musician Sophie Nantongo is currently battling her family members over the alleged sale of family property without their consent.

According to a man named Kawuki, who claimed to be Sophie Nantogo's brother, the singer sold off family properties, including land in Kibuye, Kampala, without approval from the family.

"I have always heard rumors that Sophie was secretly selling our family land. What is happening now confirms those suspicions," he explained in an interview with a local television station.

Kawuki explained that the properties in question were left behind by their late father, who ordered the land to be shared among them. However, they were taken by surprise after seeing construction taking place without their knowledge.

He appealed to law enforcement bodies to intervene and investigate the matter for an amicable solution.

Sophie Nantogo is no stranger to controversy; in 2023, the singer was accused and arrested for fraud after absconding with 11 million Ugandan shillings from a client, promising him a visa to the United States of America.
