Earlier this week, reports emerged indicating Joyce Bagala had crossed to the newly formed political party, the Democratic Alliance.
This was after posters of her spread across social media, and others alleged they were already pinned at different stations in Mityana District, pledging allegiance to Mathias Mpuuga's political party.
However, Joyce Bagala confirmed she is still a member of the National Unity Platform and has no intentions of quitting the party.
Bagala explained she is still a loyal member of NUP and also confirmed picking up nomination forms from the party in preparation for the primaries.
"I am still a member of the National Unity Platform, and I am preparing to represent my party in the coming elections," as quoted by local media.
Joyce Bagala also made a rare appearance at the party offices in Kamwokya and attended the extraordinary delegates conference which confirmed new party leadership.
