Musicians and brothers Mike Wine and Dax Vibez were arrested in the early hours of Monday this week following a music performance in Jinja.
The duo joined other artistes from Kampala and those who are based in Jinja to perform at the annual "Ekitunda" festival organized by Baaba FM.
Both artistes performed successfully; however, they were arrested on their way to Kampala following an altercation with an upcoming artiste in Jinja.
According to reports on Busoga-based radio stations, Dax Vibez has been charged with assault, and the same charge was also placed on Mike Wine's file.
It's alleged the two artistes, along with other members who are currently on the run, assaulted a man named Ibrah Hussein, which led to their arrest.
According to Busoga Royal FM, James Mubi, the spokesperson for Kiira Region police, confirmed the arrest of the two singers and stated that investigations are ongoing under the guidance of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Other reports indicate Mike Wine was released on police bail, but Dax Vibez remained in police custody.
