Musician Eddy Kenzo and Junior Minister Phiona Nyamutooro are in a relationship and are working towards official marriage. The couple already shares a child and plans to have more children together.
Kenzo and Nyamutooro have largely kept their love out of the public eye. The Big Talent boss recently revealed they have nothing to prove regarding their relationship.
Speaking in an interview with Sanyuka Television, Kenzo explained they are committed to each other, emphasizing that their relationship is "not for show." He added that even the videos that sometimes appear on social media are recorded by his team members for their personal content.
"My relationship with Hon. Nyamutooro is not for show. There’s no point in proving anything. We are in love, and it's between us. Someone recorded us for content," he explained.
Eddy Kenzo fell in love with Phiona Nyamutooro after his relationship with fellow musician Rema Namakula ended. In June of last year, the two held a pre-introduction ceremony, also known as a "Kukyala," which is an initial step towards marriage in traditional Ugandan culture.
