Musician Edirisa Musuuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo, has responded to the promoters who announced a ban on him and other musicians under the Uganda National Musicians Federation.

In his response, Eddy Kenzo branded Abitex a joker, revealing he has no power to ban him from performing on stage across the country.

He explained there is no justifiable reason for the ban placed on him by the promoters, and he is not affected by their rants.

"I think Abtex is joking about the ban because I can't think of a sensible reason or way how he, as a promoter, can ban me from singing on stage," he explained in an interview with a local television station.

The Presidential advisor maintained he won't stop performing just because of Abitex and other promoters. He added that he is already booked at the moment, and gigs continue to be presented to him.

Kenzo says he will organize his own shows if need be for the good of his fans.

"I won't stop working because even right now I have gigs. I'll organize myself if they don't want to. I can't stop them from doing what they want," he added.

Kenzo made the remarks while responding to promoters under the leadership of Abitex, who announced a ban on him and other artists who are members of UNMF.

The promoters allege they were neglected by the UNMF and accuse the federation's leadership of sidelining them after receiving over 30 billion Uganda shillings from the government.
